Well friends...the Country kick is over.

I knew it wouldn't last long. I got home from hunting lat night and turned on country. To may surprise, it was a turn off. In addition to that, I turned on the Christian stations I was tired of and soaked it up like a sponge. Nice. it's interesting how literal the thirst for Christ can be.

Also, archery deer is over. Bummer. Oh well, didn't get one but learned a lot and saw a lot.

Blessings.

Ahhhh...the good ol' days

Are you sitting down? I know the following news is going to make you wonder...

I have been on a Country Music kick lately. I know, I know. Weird, eh?

It reminds me of the good ol' days...the days of bonfires in the desert, sitting on our tailgates, sipping Pepsi and listening to music.

It reminds me of when I wanted to be a game warden, fire fighter, and a world champion team roper.

It reminds me of Copenhagen and horses; Wranglers and my straw Stetson; Football and Team roping; riding quads and spotlighting elk.

Ahhh...the good ol' days.

The days of George Strait and early Garth Brooks.

The days of Brush poppers and Justins.

Ahhh...the good ol' days.

The days when my biggest ambition was to be a firefighter, own a ranch, and work it with my wife and kids.

The days when our familes would get together and ride into the mountains.

The days when our family would meet and listen to country music without people complaining.

It's funny how dreams come and go with time. I'm sure this one will go soon...
